Kingston Township -- Section 19, Township 56, Range 28
Located: 3 miles west 3/4 mile north of Kingston.
A farm of 220 acres was purchased by Caldwell County in 1873 for $18.83 per acre. This farm was 4 miles North West of Kingston. It was a home for the poor from March 1874 until 1950. The farm had many names, such as "Poor Farm", "Home for the Poor", "Infirmary Farm", "Home of the Friendless", but was most commonly known as the "County Farm". A small cemetery on the farm was the burial place for some of the residents.
The following information is taken from a record book of Glen Setzers. There are no stones above ground in the cemetery.
