Paxton Family Graveyard

Mirabile Township -- Section 27, Township 56, Range 29
Located: 1.6 mile north of Mirabile on D, east side of road behind the Paxton House.

The Paxton farm in Mirabile Township contained an old burying ground, possibly, used as a slave cemetery in the early days.

From records of Elmer E. Clark, it states that most of the graves in the Paxton-Kemper lot at Highland Cemetery at Hamilton were moved from the old Paxton plantation graveyard in Mirabile
